An Outside Perspective, From Someone Who Has Run Things

Business Wrench was built around a simple belief: most small business owners don't need another book, seminar or consulting framework. They need someone from outside the business to look at it honestly and say what needs attention.

Why the company exists

Most problems aren't mysterious — they're unexamined

Owners are inside the business every day. That's exactly what makes some problems hard to see: pricing that drifted, a customer that stopped being profitable, a process that everyone works around, an owner workload that grew a little each year.

Business Wrench looks at the business the way an experienced operator would — how the numbers, customers, employees, vendors, pricing, processes and owner workload fit together — and then says plainly what's worth fixing first.

The work is deliberately unglamorous. No transformation language, no 50-page deck, no framework you have to learn before it's useful. If a recommendation can't be implemented by a busy owner with a real schedule, it isn't a recommendation.

Background

Business Wrench combines practical business operating experience with formal business education, across business ownership, operations, customer and vendor management, logistics, pricing, financial analysis, process improvement, growth decisions and business technology.

The founder holds an MBA from UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School. That background informs the work, but the brand here is Business Wrench — not a personal platform.

How we work

Engagements start with the Business Wrench Checkup, a $500 flat-fee diagnostic. What comes after depends entirely on what it finds — and plenty of owners take the plan and handle the rest themselves. That's a fine outcome.

Let's find what's slowing yours down and figure out what to fix first.
